Murray House is a wonderful characterful Georgian house, formerly the home of Sir James A.H Murray, the first editor of the Oxford English Dictionary. It is offered in fantastic decorative order having been modernised and refurbished by the current owners.

This charming Grade II listed residence is located in the heart of Mill Hill village and dates back in parts to the 17th Century and retains some of the original features. Discreetly tucked away behind electric gates, the front of the house is set back from the road and approached via a long driveway set behind a secluded walled garden with off street parking for numerous vehicles.

Set in delightful landscaped gardens the grounds extend to about an acre and include an outdoor heated swimming pool (heated via an air source pump), changing rooms, pool plant room, a 31’5 x 13.4’ games room, storage rooms, a tennis court, solar panels and plenty of entertaining space.

This 5 double-bedroomed house also includes a Tom Howley kitchen, underfloor heating, air conditioning in the kitchen/dining room and top floor bedrooms, CCTV and a Sonos speaker system inside and outside.

Hammers Lane is within one mile of the coffee shops, restaurants and amenities of Mill Hill Broadway and close to transport links (Mill Hill Broadway – Thameslink, and Mill Hill East - Northern Line).  Conveniently located for many schools including Mill Hill School, Belmont, Goodwyns, Haberdashers, Merchant Taylors and North London Collegiate.
